Daybreak is an Adult Day Care for modern times. We offer frail seniors a fully trained staff and a supervised environment. Our participants share in friendships and benefit from all the advantages of an active social environment. Some of our activities include: shopping, theatre trips, bingo, fishing, card games, board games, baseball, golf, trivia, croquet, badminton, arts & crafts, birthday parties, monthly theme parties, penny socials and much more.
Daybreak accepts all types of seniors for participation. Parkinson's and Alzheimer's patients, stroke or accident victims, potentially deaf or blind elderly, senior suffering from dementia and other disabilities. Disabilities that would limit one's ability to remain self-sufficient thrive in this environment. The Daybreak staff receives ongoing training to serve the needs of our participants.
Daybreak's hours may vary from site to site, but are generally 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Daybreak serves all of Dutchess County with sites in Poughkeepsie and Wappingers Falls. The cost is $40 per day and includes snacks, hot and cold beverages and a hot lunch each day. Daily transportation is available at an additional cost of $10 per day. Certain trips involve a cost to cover the specific activity.
Daybreak is a program of the Association for Senior Citizens and is proudly sponsored by the United Way. For more information about this Adult Day Care Program, please contact Vanessa Graff at (845) 463-3442.
